2009
Spinks Springs Launched
As the innovation hub of luxury mattress manufacturer Harrison Spinks, we specialised in the unique low-height pocket springs Posturfil and Posturfil HD.
NOVEMBER 2011
Maxicore Launched
Invented for the seating and bedding market, Maxicore makes conventional polyurethane foam fillings obsolete, and delivers enhanced levels of comfort and support to countless upholstery and mattress products.

Spinks Springs Goes Global
Spinks Springs goes into partnership with Johnson Controls, the automotive seating pioneer – to integrate their revolutionary Posturfil and Posturfil HD pocket spring technology into an automotive seat concept called ComfortThin.

Innovation of the Year
In partnership with Johnson Controls, Spinks Springs wins the highly acclaimed award for Concept Vehicle Interior Innovation of the Year at the Automotive Interiors Expo Awards.

Spinks Springs wins an Interzum Award for Intelligent Material and Design – for Posturflo – an innovative, low-height micro pocket spring.

The revolution in North America
Spinks Springs announces a joint venture with Hickory Springs to manufacture and distribute microcoils in North America.
October 2014
A ground-breaking step forward
We start working alongside pioneering footwear company Springuru, to create a new casual shoe concept – containing 34 micro springs in the mid sole of each shoe.

Asia awaits
Spinks Springs patented microcoils and pocket springs are manufactured and distributed throughout Asia – thanks to a new venture with Macau Taiwa Machinery Group.

The thinnest wire on the market
Spinks Springs begins to draw its own wire in-house from steel rod. This allows different diameters of wire for springs, and produces thinner wire than is commercially available, improving quality and consistency.
February 2015
The front runner in footwear
Our unique spring technology is integrated into the P1.0 Pro Touch trainer and launched in Intersport stores across Europe. The trainers contain unique micro springs in the midsoles of the footwear, providing extra comfort and lower shock levels than regular trainers.

A revolution in R&D
A state-of-the-art testing laboratory opens on-site in Leeds. The laboratory is home to a wide range of pioneering equipment, including a tensile machine that tests the tensile strength of the wire and an indentation load deflection machine, which measures the firmness of our components.

An award-winning design
Spinks Springs launches two new products into the market: Posturflo 3D and Quiltech. Posturflo 3D combines a breathable spacer textile with market-leading pocket spring technology and goes on to win the Interzum Intelligent Material and Design 2015 award. Later in the year, the product also wins an award for outstanding design quality at the German Design Awards.

The future of micro-pocket spring technology
Spinks Springs launches Aerocoil, the latest innovation in micro-pocket spring technology. The conical shape of each spring provides the perfect rebound characteristic and features Titanium Alloy, making it up to 20% lighter than other micro coils.

Royal approval once again
Harrison Spinks wins two prestigious Queen’s Awards, for Enterprise for Innovation and International Trade. This makes Harrison Spinks the only bed-maker to receive two Queen’s Awards for Enterprise in the same year, on two separate occasions.

Spinks Springs enters a new era and unveils a new brand “Spinks” – and a new brand positioning – THINK. MAKE. LEAD. This perfectly reflects the team’s relentless obsession with innovation. The team also celebrates winning the Interzum Award 2019.
